Origin & Rarity

Di Cao Qing is the most valuable tier of natural purple clay, formed after millions of years of geological compression at the deepest well of Huanglong Mountain’s purple clay stratum. It has been sealed for decades, making unprocessed genuine ore extremely scarce in today’s market.

Brewing & Patina Advantages

Di Cao Qing is widely recognized as an all-purpose tea clay. It optimizes the flavour of nearly all mainstream teas: softens harsh astringency of raw Pu'er, amplifies the layered floral fragrance of oolong, mellow ripe Pu'er & dark tea, and improves the sweet texture of aged white tea and black tea.

The pot surface gradually builds up silky, warm and glossy patina with daily tea brewing. The longer you nurture the pot, the deeper and more glossy the body colour becomes, with obvious antique charm that adds collectible value over time.

Our Clay Processing Standard

Our Di Cao Qing ore goes through long-term natural weathering + manual wet ageing for more than 12 months. We refuse vacuum mud refining that damages delicate mineral structures, retaining the original natural particle hierarchy of the ore to preserve the clay’s native tea-making performance to the maximum extent.

Tang Chongkai is a celebrated artist and craftsman, renowned for his masterful work in traditional Chinese arts and crafts. He has received training from the Famous Grand Masters of Zisha Wang Xiaolong and Gao Lijun; both hold great respect for Zisha. 

Tang Chongkai is a true expert in traditional craftsmanship, with an unparalleled understanding of aesthetics. Under the careful guidance of our lead artist Ma Pin Yi, he has honed his skills using Zisha as a medium to express the unique and advanced aesthetics of One Space. His works showcase an exquisite blend of traditional Chinese craftsmanship and contemporary artistic expression, imbued with a timeless beauty that speaks to the heart and soul of his audience.
