This teapot tray is a custom commission produced by a Jingdezhen kiln specializing in Yuan‑style blue‑and‑white ware. Every detail honours the original mood and artistic spirit of Yuan‑dynasty porcelain.

Unlike later‑era blue‑and‑white porcelain that prioritized fine, meticulous linework, Yuan‑dynasty ceramics valued glaze quality, colour expression and artistic atmosphere above hyper‑precision. This piece captures that distinct Yuan‑era character.

Fired in a gas kiln, the cobalt blue develops a muted, steady, deep tone, recreating the rich vintage flavour of antique Yuan blue‑and‑white.

The interior is painted with the iconic traditional fish‑and‑algae motif: a carp swimming amid full‑bloom lotus, seed‑pods and aquatic weeds, a timeless symbol of abundance and harmony. The outer wall is decorated with scrolling‑vine scrollwork. The base bears the under‑glaze blue mark Cheng Xin (澄心).
