The design of this teapot is inspired by the Weng-shaped teapots of the Qing Dynasty. It has a rather stubborn and proud look to it. The straight spout promises a smooth and powerful pour. The shoulders and lid are very steady and strong, and the whole body is tall and straight like a warrior, plumped like a small apple. Under the supervision of Master Ma Pinyi, this teapot has just the right proportions, high aesthetics, and is pleasing to look at. It is one of the most practical and simple-looking piece for brewing tea without a doubt.
This Zini Paragenesis symbiotic mineral is unique and precious. The particles are rich and grainy, and if you look closely, you can see that various minerals are evenly distributed throughout the pot. It’s important to note that this is an original ore, not produced with the ore mixing technique. Often, merchants will try to imitate this clay by mixing different kinds of ore and calling it “Purple Jade Gold Sand”. Ore mixing and conditioning is a highly technical skill that requires a thorough understanding of mud properties and mineral materials. It’s a skill worthy of respect. However, if the clay is made from original ore, it is even more valuable.
Original Ore
This clay is highly versatile and can be used with a wide range of teas. We have tested various teas and have found that each one is enhanced by the clay. Our brand manager, Yanni, was particularly impressed with how well the clay worked with raw Pu’er tea. It helped to balance out the astringent flavors and brought out a more complex aroma. Whether the tea is fresh or aged, the clay seems to have a magical ability to bring out the best in each tea. It truly is a remarkable clay.
