杭海 Hang Hai

Nationally certified arts & crafts master

Born in Yixing in 1988, he developed a profound interest and appreciation for Zisha at a young age, influenced by his parents, both esteemed Zisha crafters. Following his graduation from school at the age of 16, he aspired to become a Zisha Master. He sought guidance at the “Zisha Factory,” where he was mentored by numerous Zisha Masters in the traditional art and craftsmanship of Zisha. Today, he upholds this rare art and cultural tradition as one of the few artisans who continue to craft Zisha in the traditional manner. His particular expertise lies in emulating the classics while infusing his own creative essence. His creations are characterized by exquisite and graceful lines that exude harmony and elegance, a mark of mastery that can only be attained through years of dedication.
